Our Fees & Funding

Learning Stars is registered to support parents with the provision of funded childcare spaces. We offer funded spaces for children from 9 months up to 4 years old, for 15 or 30 hours.

The number of hours your child is entitled to, depends on your eligibility. Please see below:

9 months to 2 Years - Working Families who meet eligibility criteria, will be entitled to 30 hours of funded childcare for 38 weeks of the year. (1140 hours per year)
2 to 3 years - Children who are not eligible for the working families funding, may be eligible for 15 hours of funded childcare for 38 weeks of the year. (570 hours per year)
3 to 4 years - All children aged 3 - 4 years are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare (570 hours per year). If the parents meet the eligibility criteria for working families, they are able to access an additional 15 hours of funded childcare per week, thus bringing the weekly entitlement to 30 hours of funded childcare per week (1140 hours per year).

Please Note, Funding starts from the term after your child turns 9 months / 3 years old and can only be applied from the start of the next term.

If you are entitled to working families funding, you will be given an 11 digit code, which must be provided to us, before your child starts. Please note, you will have to reconfirm your eligibility every three months. If you apply for funding 3 months before the term starts, you will have to reconfirm your code before the term starts, in order to keep your code valid.

Learning Stars offers fully funded spaces for eligible parents, but please note, we have limited spaces available, and therefore cannot take further applications if all spaces are filled.

Notes:

These fees are effective from 1st April 2025.
We do not charge a registration fee to fully funded places, and charge a deposit which will be refunded after first week of attendance.
Bookings are required to be a minimum of 3 sessions per week on separate days (half day or full day). Three day schedules MUST include either a Monday or Friday.
Funded hours are for 38 weeks only, and do not include meals, snacks, nappies and extra-curricular activities. Children accessing the funded hours only, will be charged termly for snacks and hot food, and extra-curricular activities that are provided, as an additional charge (see funded fee's tab ). If you do not wish to be charged for this, parents are able to bring in their own snacks and hot food (please see food from home policy).
Invoices are sent out one week before they are due. If payment is not made by the start of the term, they are considered late and are subject to late payment charge.
We do not swap sessions. Additional sessions outside of schedule can only be booked in addition to your usual days. We do not make up sessions missed due to illness or holidays.
Additional half days or full days can be booked depending on availability and will be charged on the daily private rate for the specific age group.
All schedule changes (increase, decrease or change of days), require a minimum of one months notice. Increase in days or changing of days is subject to availability.
If you wish to leave the setting, on a term time schedule, you must give the nursery one terms notice.
Please note that Term-Time NEG only spaces are limited.
We offer limited 15/30 hours only funded spaces with no requirements for additional hours. These Funded Sessions are available as follows:
- 15 hours Funding 3 half days per week Term Time (38 weeks only)
- 30 hours Funding 3 full days per week Term Time (38 weeks only
