Our Story
Learning Stars adheres to a holistic approach of early childhood education. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our Nursery School, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
As part of our Eco-House philosophy,
Learning Stars aims to provide children
with the highest quality fresh, wholesome
and nutritious vegan and vegetarian food,
using organic ingredients whenever possible.
About Us
Learning Stars Montessori aims to be a facility that is always providing the highest quality of care for children, and early years education. Since September 2017, we began our journey into establishing Learning Stars into a Nature School, where we incorporate Forest School and Reggio Emilia philosophies into our daily Montessori practice.
Learning Stars is a state of the art nursery, which opened in May 2016. The nursery is housed in one of the oldest buildings in Wembley, rumored to once belong to Sir Ian Watkins, who was one of the great visionaries of his time and chief engineer of the Metropolitan Line. Our team has worked hard to fully restore and upgrade the Victorian era house, to transform the building to embrace modern technologies, but retain the character of its history, and to create a warm, welcoming and inclusive space for babies, toddlers and children up to the age of five years.
Learning Stars’ intentions intends to continue developing our building into an Eco-House. We have placed great efforts in upgrading the building with environmentally friendly, natural and recycled materials, and investing in renewable energies such as a Ground Source Heat Pump to supply all our heating and hot water. We will also be investing in solar panels and some green roof space. The Eco-House will not only be a positive environment for children to grow, but make them participants at an early age for our shared role in protecting the environment and supporting the government’s initiatives in reducing our carbon footprint (Policy Energy Efficiency in Building).
Our wish is that Learning Stars will provide a second home for the children to thrive in, and will nurture their development holistically, through the child-led principles of Montessori. Being a Montessori setting, children with any specific difficulties in their background or learning are welcome to join the Learning Stars Family. The Montessori approach promotes an inclusive method for catering Special Educational Needs (SEN) learners.
