Director
Houra Qadir
I am the Director of Learning Stars Montessori. I completed my Early Years Teacher Training Level 6 at UCL, and hold two Bachelor of Science degrees. I find working in Early Years exciting and rewarding, as I am passionate about the future of our children.
My aim is to ensure the individual needs of every child is met to the highest standard. I believe that children deserve the best, and I am dedicated in creating a beautiful, homely environment, and
building a team of passionate and creative childcare practitioners.
I also believe in providing our children a rich variety of learning experiences, through embracing Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Forest School approaches, providing high quality extra-curricular music, movement and yoga programmes, and having regular outings to the community and further afield.
I love Montessori as it embraces a holistic
approach, aimed at supporting each unique child's holistic development: as a critical thinker, an artist, and a citizen of our shared Earth. Montessori transcends competition between children and focusses on collaboration and the community, promoting love, respect, compassion and a vision towards world peace. I believe these values are key to our children's success in the future world they will inherit.

Manager
Rumana Ali
Hello, my name is Rumana, and I am the Manager at Learning Stars. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and have also completed a Master’s degree in Psychology. I have been working with children since 2012 and progressed into management in 2016. I have been managing at Learning Stars since January 2018.
I believe in a creative and child-centered approach to nursery management, where learning is enjoyable and meaningful. Education should be fun, engaging, and inspiring, allowing children to develop a genuine love for learning. By working in close partnership with parents, I strive to create a welcoming, homely environment where children feel safe, confident, and encouraged to express their creativity.
I strongly believe that both children and staff should leave the nursery each day having gained something positive and unique—experiences and values they can carry with them throughout their lives.
Children are great imitators, so it is our responsibility to give them something truly great to imitate.
